Long Beach Island - Affectionately dubbed LBI by shore natives, Long Beach Island houses 18 miles of beautiful dune beaches perfect for swimming, fishing, surfing, and in some instances even shopping!  From Barnegat Light to Beach Haven you can find everything from great restaurants and chocolateirs to surf shops and bars.  LBI is a place where you really can find something for anyone.  For the history buff, make sure to hit Barnegat Light State Park, home to the famous lighthouse, Old Barney.  Another genuine article, an old pirate cutlass from the late 1800’s abandoned on the shores of LBI and preserved at the Long Beach Island Historical Association in Beach Haven.  Ron Jon Surf Shop is a must for beach bums everywhere and I suggest that everyone who has a chance to catch a show at the Surf Light Theater does just that.  Great for a vacation with friends or with family, Long Beach Island is a definite Don’t Miss! The shore towns of LBI are Barnegat Light, Loveladies, Harvey Cedars, Surf City, Ship Bottom, Brant Beach, Long Beach, Beach Haven and Holgate.
